❓ Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the pick-up? Pick-up is currently estimated for late March through early April 2026. Because bee health depends on the weather, we will notify you via email 1–2 weeks in advance with the exact date, time, and location details. What is included in the 3lb Package? Each package contains approximately 10,000–12,000 Italian honeybees and one young, healthy, mated queen in a separate cage. The package is climate-controlled and ready for transport to your hive. Can I have my bees shipped to me? To ensure the highest survival rate and health of the livestock, our bees are for local pick-up only. We do not ship live packages or queens at this time. What if the weather is bad on pick-up day? The safety of the bees is our top priority. If extreme cold or heavy rain is forecasted, we may shift the pick-up date slightly. We will keep you updated via the email address used during checkout. How do I transport my bees home? Bees are secured in a screened wooden or plastic shipping cage. We recommend bringing a mesh laundry bag or a light sheet to wrap the package in for your drive home to keep any "hitchhiker" bees contained. What is your refund policy? Because these are live animals and we reserve space in our distribution line specifically for you, all sales are final after the March 14th order deadline.
