License Agreement for Agritourism Activity: Last year the Town of Plainfield acquired control of the apiary property from the Indianapolis Airport. On March 10, 2020 Plainfield and WLBA signed a License Agreement for us to continue our agritourism activity at the apiary. The agreement parallels the agreement that we had with the airport and identifies specific duties that WLBA must and must not perform. In general, WLBA and members must follow generally accepted beekeeping practices, maintain the property in good order, not erect any permanent facilities, and insure for liability.
Unsafe Activities, Accidents, or Injury: One of the License Agreement terms is that all unsafe activities, accidents, or injury must be reported. At any time you become aware of any of these situations, please fill out an Incident Report (File below), and notify the club board. If at any time you believe you are in immediate danger, call 911 for appropriate assistance; otherwise call the Hendricks County Sheriff. An Emergency Contact Information sheet and a copy of the Incident Report are posted on the inside door of the shed.
